Russia's Gazprom Expects Exports to Europe to Rebound in 2015-17

MOSCOW--Russian natural gas monopoly OAO Gazprom is expecting gas exports to Europe to rebound in 2015-2017 following a slump last year, the company's deputy chairman Alexander Medvedev said Tuesday, Russian news agencies reported.
"Given the continued gradual reduction of gas production in Europe, it can be expected that Gazprom's exports in the medium term will recover and reach 155 billion cubic meters to 160 billion cubic meters per year," said Mr. Medvedev, who was speaking at an investment conference in Hong Kong, according to RIA Novosti.
The increase is expected to take place from 2015 to 2017 and the growth of supplies will depend on weather conditions, Mr. Medvedev said.
Gazprom's gas sales slumped in 2014 as Europe attempted to find alternative energy sources.
Gazprom estimated its market share in Europe at 30.6% in 2014.
